From May 24 to 27, the 3rd Yangtze River Delta Student Academic Symposium and Social Practice Program was held at Zhejiang University (ZJU). The event brought together more than 150 Chinese and international students from 24 universities.

The event featured five academic sub-venues and showcased over 100 academic posters. Students from diverse backgrounds and disciplines engaged in deep academic dialogues, breaking down professional barriers. Angelica Tiora, an international student who helped organize two sessions of the symposium, shared her thoughts: "These experiences have inspired me to continue pursuing academic research with greater passion." She noted how the platform has significantly enhanced the academic innovation capabilities of international students.

Beyond the classroom, the participants embarked on an immersive social practice journey to Yucun Village in Anji County, Zhejiang Province. This village is famous as the birthplace of the concept "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets." Sidorova Kristina, an international student from Russia, was deeply impressed by the rural revitalization efforts. "For more than 20 years, the people of Yucun have firmly practiced this principle," she remarked, adding that she felt the immense potential and vitality of China's rural development.

The event also fostered meaningful cross-cultural connections. Yasin Amara Sekou S Dra, an international student from Mali, shared a heartwarming story of reconnecting with a ZJU professor who had signed his admission letter years ago. "Sometimes, we think we missed something, but perhaps we just meet again in another way," he said. In his presentation, Yasin called on young people worldwide to strengthen interdisciplinary cooperation to address global challenges such as climate change and sustainable development. "Those snapshots were proof that young people from different corners can find common ground in shared beauty," reflected another participant ZHOU Xingxing on the cross-cultural interactions.
