



On May 20, a delegation led by Eduardo Lopes Alberto, CEO of Trouw Nutrition, visited Zhejiang University. MA Yanming, President of Zhejiang University, met with the guests to discuss opportunities for practical cooperation.
Ma introduced Zhejiang University’s recent development and highlighted its commitment to open and global engagement. He noted that Zhejiang University places immense importance on international collaboration and expressed the hope of working with Trouw Nutrition in areas such as talent cultivation, scientific research, and platform development. He said the two sides could leverage their respective strengths to advance the integration of technological and industrial innovation in the field of animal nutrition.
Eduardo Lopes Alberto noted that Trouw Nutrition has built strong technical expertise and developed a mature global operating model. He expressed interest in exploring collaboration with Zhejiang University in areas including AI-driven nutrition modeling and sustainable feed technologies. He said such cooperation could help accelerate the translation of research and innovation into real-world applications.
During the visit, the delegation held discussions with representatives from the College of Biosystems Engineering and Food Science, the College of Animal Sciences, and the College of Pharmaceutical Sciences. The guests also visited the Future Learning Center and research laboratories at the College of Animal Sciences.
GU Zhen, Associate Vice President of Zhejiang University, along with representatives from the Office of Global Engagement, the Office of Scientific Research, the College of Biosystems Engineering and Food Science, the College of Animal Sciences, the College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, and the Development and Liaison Office, participated in the related activities.
