Vice President CHEN Gang meets SUTD Provost

On June 5, a delegation led by Chee Yeow Meng, Provost and Chief Academic & Innovation Officer of the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), visited Zhejiang University (ZJU). CHEN Gang, Vice President of ZJU, met with the delegation for discussions on future collaboration.

CHEN Gang extended a warm welcome to the visitors and provided an overview of ZJU’s distinctive strengths, innovative culture, and entrepreneurship ecosystem. He noted that since the two universities entered into partnership in 2009, they have achieved fruitful outcomes in faculty and student exchanges, joint research, and other areas. Looking ahead, ZJU is committed to working closely with SUTD to accelerate the development of the Institute of Advanced Studies in Intelligent Design and further expand practical cooperation in talent cultivation and other areas of mutual interest.

Chee Yeow Meng thanked ZJU for its longstanding support during the establishment and development of SUTD and spoke highly of the achievements made through the partnership between the two universities. He expressed the hope that the two sides would further strengthen joint talent development and collaborative research and innovation, thereby deepening their long-standing friendship and cooperation.

During the visit, the delegation toured the Future Learning Center and visited the Polytechnic Institute, where they learned more about the university’s innovative practices in digital education and engineering talent development.
