At the 44th International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva, approximately 1,000 inventions and products from 48 countries and regions were on display. The three inventions from Zhejiang University won a special prize, a gold medal, a silver medal and a bronze medal. Among them, the Air Faucet System clinched a gold medal and the Prize of the Italian Delegation of the Exhibition.
The Air Faucet System is a brand-new concept. Grounded in the defining feature of fluid in carrying wastes, this system can save 90% of water and achieve desirable cleansing effects by substituting high-speed air currents for water. Moreover, it utilizes the gravity of a human body to compress air and provide the source of power, thereby consuming no energy during the whole process and eventually conserving energy.
Initiated in the 1970s, the International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva is an annual intelligent festival for modernity and innovation. Every year, a host of producers and inventors present their archetypes and finished products in the exhibition. It is the largest, oldest and most influential exhibition of inventions globally.
