Asian Engineering Deans'Summit Kicks off at ZJU

On May 16, the Asian Engineering Deans’ Summit, which attracted 30-plus engineering deans and scholars from various countries in Asia and Oceania, kicked off at Zhejiang  University.

Present at the opening ceremony were Wu Zhaohui, President of Zhejiang University, Hans J. Hoyer, Secretary General of the International Federation for Engineering Education Societies, and Kee Chaing Chua, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the National University of Singapore. Peter Kilpatrick, Dean of the College of Engineering, made opening remarks for the Summit via a video. Song Yonghua, Executive Vice President of Zhejiang University, presided over the opening ceremony.

The Summit invited several experts to deliver keynote speeches on three main themes: values of engineering education and research, cultivation of practical skills in engineering education, and internationalization of engineering education and research.
