ZJUers Win Championship in 2017 Global Grand Challenges Summit Student Day Poster Competition
The 3rd Global Grand Challenges Summit was held in Washington. Ultra Clean, an undergraduate team from Zhejiang University, won the championship in the Student Day Poster Competition.
This year’s summit was jointly organized by the U.S. National Academy of Engineering (NAE), the U.K. Royal Academy of Engineering (RAE), and the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), and was held on July 18-20on the campus of George Washington University. A total of 800 participants from all parts of the world gathered at the summit to address critically important engineering challenges and opportunities facing humanity.
The Student Day Competition at this summit included the Student Day Poster Competition and the Student Day Business Model Competition. A total of 86 projects, including 49 undergraduate projects and 37 graduate projects, competed in the poster section. The “Ultra Clean—an ultrasonic & vacuum wear-free washing machine” developed by Zhejiang University won the first place in this category.
