ZJU portrayed in IAU-BBC“Aiming Higher in a Transforming World” documentary series

Zhejiang University (ZJU) has been featured in a documentary developed by BBC StoryWorks in cooperation with International Association of Universities (IAU). This series, named “Aiming Higher in a Transforming World “conveys the key role of universities in addressing societal transformations.

The "Aiming Higher" documentaries were unveiled during the plenary session of the IAU conference in Puebla, Mexico, held from November 13th-15th, 2019. CHEN Weiying, deputy director of Office of Global Engagement attended the discussion.She said ZJU aims to cultivate future leaders with global perspectives, innovative capabilities, entrepreneurial spirits and social responsibility. They are the contributors to social welfare and sustainability.

The impactful and innovative work undertaken by some 30 institutions across the globe are brought to screen for their positive change in the fields of Internationalization, Technology, Leadership and Sustainable Development.

ZJU was among the 35 universities from 30 countries on six different continents selected for participating this project. We showcase our technology driven innovation and entrepreneurship education. The series now is available on the dedicated portal and the mini-documentary on ZJU is under the heading “Technology”.
