ZJU Vice President ZHOU Jianghong meets with UniTo Rector Cristina Prandi

On November 16, Cristina Prandi, Rector of the University of Turin (UniTo), led a delegation to Zhejiang University (ZJU), where she was welcomed by ZHOU Jianghong, Vice President of ZJU.

ZHOU Jianghong extended a warm welcome to Cristina Prandi and her delegation. He introduced ZJU’s recent progress in nurturing top-tier talent, strengthening disciplineary development, and expanding global engagement. He reflected on the long-standing partnership between the two universities, noting that the two universities have established comprehensive collaboration in degree programs, student exchanges, and academic research. These efforts have produced a cohort of outstanding talents contributing to China–Italy economic cooperation and cultural exchange. He expressed his hope that the two institutions would continue to promote university–city integration through educational and technological cooperation, further supporting the healthy and stable development of China–Italy relations.

Cristina Prandi commended ZJU’s achievements and reaffirmed the strong ties built over years of collaboration, particularly via the China Studies program. She provided an overview of UniTo’s development strategy, talent training, and interdisciplinary innovation. She also voiced strong interest in deepening cooperation with ZJU in scholar exchanges, joint research, and other areas. She emphasized the shared commitment to building a leading model of China–Italy higher education collaboration.

During the visit, Cristina Prandi and her delegation toured the Italian Youth Photography Exhibition at the International Campus Library in Haining, as well as Guantong College, the International Research Center for X Polymers, and the Zhejiang University International Business School. They also met with UniTo students currently studying at ZJU to learn about their academic life and study–abroad experience.
