ZJU Vice President ZHOU Jianghong meets with Vice Rector Ortiz from the University of Buenos Aires

On November 17, Patricio Conejero Ortiz, Vice Rector of the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), visited Zhejiang University (ZJU) with a delegation. He was warmly received by Vice President ZHOU Jianghong.

During the meeting, ZHOU Jianghong introduced ZJU’s overall development, academic strengths, and recent initiatives. He noted that ZJU and UBA share broad prospects for cooperation in joint research and faculty–student exchange programs. He extended an invitation for UBA students to pursue ZJU’s distinctive degree programs and expressed the hope of exploring an institutional partnership to open up new opportunities for international cooperation in higher education.

Patricio Conejero Ortiz voiced his strong interest in advancing collaboration between the two institutions, particularly in think-tank development and the humanities and social sciences. He emphasized that China’s modernization experience offers valuable insights to Latin America and underscored the importance of deepening academic exchanges and mutual understanding. He also warmly welcomed more ZJU students to study and engage in academic exchange programs at UBA.
