On April 1, Zhejiang University welcomed a delegation from Eötvös Loránd University led by Rector Lénárd Darázs. Associate Vice President GU Zhen met with the delegation.

GU Zhen extended a warm welcome to Lénárd Darázs and his collegues. He introduced Zhejiang University’s recent development. He described Eötvös Loránd University as one of Zhejiang University’s key partners in Central and Eastern Europe, and expressed hope that the visit would open up new opportunities for practical collaboration in cutting-edge areas such as artificial intelligence and management science. He also highlighted the potential to expand two-way exchanges of students and faculty through established flagship programs such as China studies initiatives and summer schools, while jointly building platforms for innovative talent cultivation that support student development and facilitate the translation of research outcomes.

Lénárd Darázs expressed his gratitude to Zhejiang University for its warm hospitality and spoke highly of Zhejiang University’s achievements in education and research. He also introduced the academic development plans of Eötvös Loránd University, noting that the two institutions share closely aligned goals in areas such as AI education, sustainable development, and the digital transformation of education. He expressed interest in joining the Global University Collaborative Mechanism for Innovation in AI Education and Teaching launched by Zhejiang University, and in promoting deeper exchanges among young scholars and students to advance the implementation of joint projects.
Representatives from Zhejiang University’s Undergraduate School, School of Management, and International College also gave presentations on their respective areas and discussed potential next steps for collaboration.

During the visit, the delegation toured the School of Management and the AI Exhibition Hall, where they learned more about Zhejiang University’s achievements in innovation and entrepreneurship education, as well as its efforts to integrate AI into teaching and learning.
