At the 16th Beijing International Film Festival, JIN Xingzheng, a researcher at ZJU’s College of Media and International Culture, won First-Class Excellence Award in the “Youthful China” section for the documentary short “Against the Tide”. Selected from over 7,000 entries, the film follows para swimmer JIANG Yuyan, capturing her journey from provincial training to the Laureus World Sports Awards. Through years of close observation, the film not only records her achievements, but also reveals the quiet strength behind them—her persistence, resilience, and refusal to be defined.
