Xie Zhenye Breaks National Record to Complete Sprint Double with 200m Gold

    Xie Zhenye, a postgraduate student of athletic training at Zhejiang University, added the 200m title to the 100m gold he won earlier, with a national record-breaking run of 20.20 seconds at the 13^th National Games of China on September 5. Xie has thus become the seventh man to do the 100m and 200m double at the National Games of China.

“I will brace for more challenges with a humble attitude in the future and make every endeavor to win in both 100m and 200m sprints, thus making more contributions to China’s athletics,” said Xie.
