ZJU Professor Wins National Award for Urban Planning

Professor HAN Haoying, director of ZJU’s Institute of Urban and Rural Planning Theories and Technologies, has received the National Urban Planning Science and Technology Youth Award. The award ceremony was held at the Annual National Planning Conference 2017 on November 18.

The National Urban Planning Science and Technology Youth Award was initiated by the Chinese Society of Urban Planning in 2003. It aims at commending the contributions made by outstanding young scientists to urban planning.

Professor HAN has long been committed to advancing research on urban complexity and planning theories. He is the author of over 100 academic papers published in peer-reviewed journals, including Environment and Planning B: Planning and Design, Landscape and Urban Planning, and Land Use Policy.
