
XIA Changliang, member of Chinese Academy of Engineering, has become a chair professor at ZJU.
On January 6, Zhejiang University held an appointment ceremony to welcome XIA Changliang, an accompolished member of Chinese Academy of Engineering, to join his alma mater as Qiushi Chair Professor.

ZOU Xiaodong, secretary of the Party Committee of ZJU, presented XIA with an appointment certificate. Present at the ceremony were heads of relevant departments of ZJU as well as students and faculty from the College of Electrical Engineering.
XIA studied in ZJU's Department of Electrical Engineering from 1990 to 1995 and got his master’s and doctoral degrees from the University. In 2017, He was inducted into the Chinese Academy of Engineering. Among other acheivements, he clinched the second prize of “National Award for Technological Invention” and second prize of “National Award for Progress in Science and Technology”.
Extending a cordial welcome to XIA, ZOU stressed that his return would play a vital role in leading the development of Electrical Engineering at ZJU. ZOU believed that the College of Electrical Engineering would be able to make greater contributions in the construction of a world-class university and first-class disciplines.
XIA said he felt honored to be appointed as Qiushi Chair Professor, a top honor granted by the University. He looked forward to serving the development of ZJU together with students and staff of the College.
