The 2018 Joint IEEE EMC & APEMC Symposium (the 60th version of the IEEE International EMC Symposium and the 9th version of the Asia-Pacific EMC Symposium) was held on May 14-17 in Singapore. It was co-hosted by Zhejiang University, the IEE EMC Society and National University of Singapore. Prof. LI Erping acted as President of the Symposium.
The IEEE International EMC Symposium is the most prestigious academic conference in the field of electromagnetic compatibility. It is the first time that the Symposium has been held in Asia. The Symposium was co-hosted by the IEEE EMC Society and the Asia-Pacific EMC Society. It attracted more than 680 participants from 32 countries and regions, including China, Japan, America, Singapore, Korea, Germany, France and the UK. It unfolded a comprehensive picture of cutting-edge research in the fields of electromagnetic compatibility, high-speed circuit board integrity and power integrity.
The Symposium brought together a constellation of distinguished experts, including Dr. Mark Hayter, Senior Engineering Director at Google, Wolfgang J. R. Hoefer, Professor Emeritus at Canada’s University of Victoria, Prof. Weng Cho Chew from Purdue University, and Prof. ZHANG Yueping from Nanyang Technological University.
