
Dean GU expressed his warm welcome to Prof. Nuere and thanked the World Leisure Organization for its trust and support. “It’s our great honor to be the fourth globally and the first in Asia to hold the membership of WLCE. It is quite inspiring and the credit should be given to all faculty and students who have made great efforts to make it possible,” said Dean GU. Prof. Nuere gave a brief introduction of the WLCE program and spoke highly of the work of ZJU on joining the WLCE network.


The new WLCE will be established in the College of Education, and Prof. ZHOU Lijun, associate dean of College of Education is designated as director of the Center. Earlier in August, WLO announced ZJU as a new member of its network on the opening ceremony of the 15th World Leisure Congress in San Paulo, Brazil.
World Leisure Organization is an unofficial organization committed to exploring and creating various favorable conditions for leisure to become the driving force for human growth, development and happiness. The World Leisure Center of Excellence, an institution of WLO, gets involved in all activities of WLO around the world, especially in academic activities.
