On June 29-30,the 2019 commencement ceremonies for undergraduate and postgraduate students were held in the Stadium of Zijingang Campus. More than 10,000 people — including the soon-to-be graduates, their friends and family, and faculty and staff of the University — celebrated together for the class of 2019.

At this bittersweet time, some of the international students shared their most memorable moments in ZJU and their future plan with us.  

Edem Princeghamor-Amegavi (Ghana), PhD’2019, School of Medicine  

“After graduation, I will stay in China and become an excellent surgeon.”

Shamsu Ado Zakari (Nigeria), PhD’2019, College of Agriculture and Biotechnology

“I planned to go into commercial farming and become an agricultural entrepreneur to change the the agricultural system in my community, from analog to digital. Becoming an academia and pursuing pleasure in teaching others is my second highest priority. I believe that my academic achievements and experience from Zhejiang University will help me to work toward my goals. ”
