Meeting of ZJU-Haining Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Commission held in Haining

On the afternoon of August 27, the meeting of the ZJU-Haining Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Commission was held in Haining. At the meeting, ZJU and Haining City reviewed the progress of partnership and drew up a clear blueprint for the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta and the further construction of a demonstration zone for international education. 

REN Shaobo (Secretary of the Communist Party Committee of Zhejiang University), WU Zhaohui (President of Zhejiang University), ZHANG Bing (Secretary of the Communist Party Committee of Jiaxing City) and ZHU Jianjun (Secretary of the Communist Party Committee of Haining City) delivered speeches at the meeting. WU Zhaohui and CAO Guoliang, Secretary of the Communist Party Committee of Haining City and Mayor of Haining Municipal Government, unveiled the plaque for the Zhejiang-ZJU International Joint Innovation Center. HE Lianzhen, Vice President of Zhejiang University, presided over the meeting.

At the meeting, the Haining International Campus and four labs/research platforms at ZJU signed agreements to join the International Joint Innovation Center. Zhejiang University Holding Group, the Haining International Campus and Juanhu International Science and Technology City signed a cooperative framework agreement for technology transfer. The First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University and Haining City signed a Memorandum of Understanding for cooperation. 

With a view to implementing the innovation-driven development strategy of Zhejiang Province and the “Double First-Class” strategic scheme of Zhejiang University, the International Joint Innovation Center will pool the innovation resources of world-class universities or disciplines, build a high-caliber platform for international cooperation innovation, align itself closely with the world’s leading level, promote inter-disciplinary research, boost cooperation on technology transfer, create a high-level regional innovation carrier and provide further impetus for the “Double First-Class” construction and the remarkable development of the region.
