NTU President Subra Suresh visits ZJU

President WU Zhaohui met with a delegation led by Prof. Subra Suresh, President of Nanyang Technological University (NTU), on September 5.  

During their meeting, Prof. WU Zhaohui introduced a series of initiatives at ZJU, including the “Global ZJU—CREATE to Impact” strategy and the Innovation 2030 plan. Prof. Subra Suresh talked about key researches at NTU, particularly partnerships between NTU and enterprises, such as the Alibaba-NTU Joint Research Institute on Artificial Intelligence. Both universities look forward to deepening cooperation in certain domains and expanding the university-enterprise-university partnership mode.

A research-intensive public university, NTU has 33,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students in the colleges of Engineering, Business, Science, and Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences, and its Graduate College. In 2019, NTU was placed 11th globally in the QS World University Rankings. It was also ranked the world’s best young university (under 50 years old) by QS for the sixth consecutive year in 2019. In addition, NTU was named the world’s fastest rising young university by Times Higher Education in 2015.
