Zhejiang University's campus is buzzing with exciting changes as the new academic year approaches. Join us as we explore the latest facilities and landmarks that have revitalized our campus.

Lakeside Plaza

After months of upgrades, the newly refurbished open-air amphitheater, Lakeside Plaza, made a stunning debut in June. Its design, resembling sails from the front and a leaping fish from the side, symbolizes the aspirations of ZJU students. The revamped plaza offers both aesthetic appeal and enhanced functionality. With an expanded stage, improved audience experience, water pumps, upgraded drainage, moisture-resistant flooring, and enhanced sound and lighting, it's set to host a variety of open and engaging student cultural events.

Yinquan Fitness Center

The newly constructed Yinquan Fitness Center, covering 800 square meters, can accommodate up to 200 users simultaneously. It boasts a wide range of fitness equipment, including ncluding free weights, fixed machines, cardio machines, treadmills, elliptical trainers, stationary bikes, punching bags, dumbbells, yoga mats, and more. In the future, the fitness center will be equipped with interconnected equipment to monitor users' heart rates, workout duration, and other data, ensuring a scientifically sound exercise routine for students and staff.

Public Arts Teaching Building

The upgraded West 3B Teaching Building now serves as the university's centralized public arts teaching facility. With nearly 600 square meters of additional classroom space, two art classrooms, nine public piano rooms, and a small music rehearsal hall, it offers state-of-the-art amenities such as high-fidelity sound systems, concert-grade grand pianos, a complete set of large musical instruments for bands, and an intelligent reservation system. The university will enrich its art courses and promote aesthetic theory through practical activities.

Digital Learning Hub

The Mengminwei Building on the Zijingang Campus now houses an information technology-enhanced learning space, featuring smart, multifunctional capsule rooms and meeting spaces. The university has also launched a one-stop online service platform that provides real-time information on classrooms, libraries, and more. The platform offers one-click queries for students, displaying information on desks, chairs, power outlets, water dispensers, printers, and other facilities. By monitoring the real-time usage of study rooms, the platform can automatically coordinate with property management to open study rooms in batches, meeting students' needs dynamically while reducing energy consumption and promoting energy efficiency.

These new facilities promise to enhance the overall campus experience, providing students with cutting-edge amenities and opportunities for cultural enrichment and healthy living. Zhejiang University eagerly anticipates the exciting academic year ahead.
