Groupe des Ecoles Centrales delegation visits Zhejiang University

HE Lianzhen extended a warm welcome to the delegation and shared comprehensive updates on Zhejiang University's academic and research endeavors, emphasizing the University’s commitment to global engagement and ongoing collaborations with France. Against the backdrop of the 60th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between China and France in 2024, she expressed optimism about enhancing mutual understanding and robust academic exchanges between faculty and students from both institutions. Moreover, she conveyed her anticipation of exploring innovative patterns of cooperation to address common challenges and pursue key projects.

The Groupe des Ecoles Centrales delegation reciprocated by offering an overview of their prestigious group and highlighting the development of its members. The representatives outlined their envisioned areas of collaboration with Zhejiang University, spanning student and faculty exchanges, university-industry partnerships, collaborative research and innovative initiatives. Their commitment underscored the desire to jointly contribute to the cultivation of top-notch engineering talents.

After the meeting, the delegation engaged in an in-depth discussion with representatives from relevant departments from ZJU, delving into the Sino-French 4+4 Program and sketching concrete plans for future cooperation.

As part of their visit, the delegation toured the Zhejiang University Science and Technology Innovation Museum. This provided them with valuable insights into the University’s landmark research achievements since its establishment. They also discussed topics related to mechanical engineering, aerospace and energy.
