On the afternoon of April 8, Dr. Tony KO Pat-sing, the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Hospital Authority, and his delegation visited Zhejiang University. Vice President Li Xiaoming graciously received the distinguished guests, joined by leaders from the Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan Affairs Office, the Office of Hospital Administration, and the School of Medicine.

LI Xiaoming extended his heartfelt welcome to the delegation and provided an overview of Zhejiang University’s latest developments, highlighting its remarkable progress in talent cultivation, scientific research, and social services in medicine. With the long-standing collaboration between ZJU and the Hong Kong region in the field of medicine, he expressed his sincere hope to further enhance exchanges through initiatives such as clinical internships and expert exchanges. Such endeavors, he believed, would jointly elevate the standards of medical professionalism.
KO Pat-sing expressed gratitude for the gracious reception from Zhejiang University. He introduced the Global Healthcare Talent Scheme initiated by the Hong Kong Hospital Authority and expressed eagerness to establish a reciprocal talent exchange mechanism with ZJU and foster closer ties through short-term exchange programs as well as medium- to long-term clinical practice and training programs for medical personnel.

The delegation’s visit ended with a tour of the Yuhang Headquarters of the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine.
