On the morning of October 12, Professor Anders Söderholm, President of KTH Royal Institute of Technology (Sweden), led a delegation to visit Zhejiang University, where they were warmly received by President MA Yanming.
MA Yanming extended a warm welcome to Anders Söderholm and his delegation. He noted that KTH has long been an important strategic partner of Zhejiang University. Over the past two decades, the two universities have built a close and productive partnership, particularly in the fields of energy and optoelectronics. He expressed his hope that the two universities would continue to expand collaboration into broader and deeper areas. Fostering a more comprehensive partnership in the years ahead.
Anders Söderholm underscored KTH’s strong commitment to its strategic cooperation with Zhejiang University. He remarked that the two universities share highly compatible visions and practices in talent cultivation and research innovation, and expressed his expectation that both sides would further strengthen collaboration and work together to address global challenges.
During the visit, representatives from the two universities held in-depth discussions on joint research platforms and high-level talent training. Participants from Zhejiang University included leaders from the College of Energy Engineering, the College of Optical Science and Engineering, the International Campus, and the Office of Global Engagement.
